We use changes in visual function to understand how cognitive change happens in Parkinson’s
We have set up the Vision in Parkinson’s project to shed light on how dementia happens in Parkinson’s disease, funded by the Wellcome Trust. So far 100 people with Parkinson’s and 40 controls have taken part at baseline, and at 18-month visits. These visits involve detailed neuropsychology, MRI brain scans, vision tests, retinal scans and blood tests. We are now running our 3-year visits, with additional safety precautions to minimise risk due to COVID-19.
