We worked with a computational modeller, Neil Oxtoby, who combined imaging and clinical data from our patients with Parkinson’s disease to reveal the sequence of events that take place during Parkinson’s disease progression. We showed that performance in visual tasks and changes in brain iron detected using quantitative susceptibility mapping, are early events.
